‘Of course I want to.’ And Jesus said: ‘Be cured.’

Sometimes it is the system, rather than the individual, that needs healing. With the acceptance by the federal government of the need for a national disability insurance scheme, and national injury insurance scheme, healing may happen.

People who are born with or acquire a disability will receive the funding for the care and support they need. Individually tailored support will enable people with disabilities to live with freedom and dignity, contributing fully to their community. Aged parents will be freed from fear for their children. Young people with quadriplegia need no longer languish in nursing homes. People with enduring psychiatric disabilities will have other options apart from boarding houses.

Jesus, help me to do all I can to support this initiative and raise awareness among my friends and colleagues.
