'Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?'

Vocation is a mysterious thing. Often the person feels called beyond their capabilities to do something they would previously have thought impossible. This is the case with Moses and the burning bush. Safe in Midian tending Jethro's flock, he is called to go to Egypt, confront the leader of that regional superpower and convince him to release the people of Israel.

While not as dramatic, my sense of call to be a religious involved a similar fear of being called out of my comfort zone. Despite the fears and doubts, I felt confirmed that God seemed to use my limitations and turn them into strengths. The message in the gospel encourages us to have a childlike trust that God will reveal his ways to us regardless of our worldly abilities and intelligence. With God on our side anything is possible.
