Acts 13:44-52. All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God – Psalm 97(98):1-4. John 14:7-14.
Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father
Lord, I’ve been your follower for a long time. And just like Philip, I still don’t get you! It’s hard for me to understand you when you say these things. One minute it seems so clear and simple – and the next, so mysterious. You are ‘in’ the Father, and the Father is ‘in’ you. So when I see you, I see the Father. When I know you, I know the Father. When I honour your commandments, and put them into practice in my life, I honour the Father’s will for me and for the world. I want to know you, and I want to be known by you. I want to accept the life you offer. I believe in you, and I accept your promise that whatever I ask in your name, I will receive. I ask for the gift of understanding, the grace of humility, and that in your name I might be strengthened to live and work as your friend, and as a child of the Father, bringing about the kingdom of God. Amen.Email this Print This Page
