Apostleship of Prayer

New Apostleship of Prayer Booklet

The Apostleship of Prayer is a worldwide movement with the following mission: To encourage Christians to make a daily offering of themselves to the Lord for the coming of God's Kingdom and for the Holy Father's monthly intentions. This habit of prayer encourages a Eucharistic spirituality of solidarity with the Body of Christ and loving service to others. Nourishing this spiritual program is the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

To coincide with the start of the of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, and responding to Pope Francis’ call for a renewal of the Apostleship of Prayer movement, the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus has put together a small booklet which is available in hard copy and electronically.

The book includes the intentions of the Holy Father for each month up to June, including tearable pages that can be carried like prayer cards or bookmarks; a range of different Morning Offerings for each month; and other prayer reflections to assist people in finding daily solace with God.

The booklet also has contact details and information about the Apostleship of Prayer.

Pope Francis has also begun to record video messages of the monthly intentions, the first of which was released on YouTube to resounding success. These videos can be watched here: Video of the Pope's Prayer Intentions
