Anyone who does not help me gather is really scattering

In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus is talking about unity, peace, love, forgiveness and harmony. This is the kingdom of God as it should be. But, alas, how far we have strayed from this path.

This is a call to take stock of our own lives. We are challenged to live as kingdom people, no matter how difficult that challenge may be. This means that each one of us can make a difference by striving to be peaceful, loving, harmonious and environmentally aware people. Let us start with our own families, in our own backyard. The ripple effect can work right here and now. We are called each day to be kingdom people. Let us embrace the challenge and transform not only our own lives but also the lives of those around us.
