Come to know each other better
The Gospel reading today has an edge. Even in reading it today we are aware that we, personally, are being described. Not only are we all prone to bickering but we are judgmental and all too often let ego drown out compassion.
How can you respond to these truths today? Perhaps your action plan could be listen, consider what is being said by the other and reply with empathy or curiosity. If we could know each other better maybe our ability to love will evolve and be more visible to the world. At least that is my prayer for you.
