Focus on the God who cares for us
How exhausting it is to continually wear a mask, pretending to be something or someone we’re not. What is it that we fear about living in the light? Do we worry others will see our imperfections or the ways we sometimes fall short? Jesus invites us not to dwell on these fears, but to focus on the God who cares for us, the God who cares even for sparrows.
Each of us is cherished and valued, and when we know that deeply within ourselves, we no longer fear bringing all of who we are into the light for all to see. For what can they do to us when God is with us? May we live out our lives, grounded deeply in this truth.
