Jesus proposed an ideal of human love in marriage that would last for life. It is something to which most young couples aspire, and there are inspiring examples of such fidelity.

However tragic facts tell of domestic violence as a reality for far too many women and children. Many experience manipulative, abusive, controlling relationships which leave untold scars.

May we as the church do all we can to support and provide refuge to those fleeing violence.

May we experience a deepening desire to love and serve one another, especially those most in need of our care.
