Show faith through our actions

Today is the Feast of St Antony of Egypt, an early Christian monk who gives us a model of radical simplicity and profound spiritual discipline. He aimed to cultivate inner peace and spiritual strength through asceticism. His life reminds us of the power of quiet devotion and the richness of a life lived with a singular focus on God.

In our world today, with so many demands calling us in different ways, it’s not always easy to keep our minds and lives focused on God. Antony was able to show his faith by his life and discipline. We are also invited, like the friends of the man in the Gospel today, to show our faith through our actions of love, compassion and hope.
