God looks after what is his
The landowner sent servants and more servants, and finally his son. Why would the landowner persevere in doing this when he could see what was happening to his servants? And what does this parable tell us about God? Well, it tells us that God tends and looks after what is his. It tells us that we are provided with responsibility for looking after what is God’s and for producing fruit. It tells us that God never gives up on us, even when we refuse to give back what belongs to God, and we come up with hare-brained schemes to plunder the earth and mistreat others purely for our own selfish gain. God continues to pursue us and offer us opportunities for conversion of our hearts and our lives. May we come to know Jesus as the cornerstone of our lives and continue to produce fruit for God.
