Committed to church attendance

St Peter Julian Eymard once said, ‘You take Communion to become holy, not because you already are’. In today’s world, attending church can be challenging amid competing priorities and cultural shifts. While it may seem easier to indulge in leisure or sleep, committing to Christian practice holds significance. Life’s worthwhile endeavours often demand a little extra effort and organisation. But do not feel overwhelmed. To ease the process of attending church, consider eliminating unnecessary steps and simplifying tasks. Prepare clothes beforehand, communicate your priorities to friends, or plan meals in advance. These small adjustments can make committing to church attendance less daunting, allowing for a more relaxed and fulfilling experience of receiving the Eucharist.
