Did I hear my name called?
Lord, was that my name I just heard?! Surely not. I am a very ordinary follower of yours. I am all too human. I struggle to get through each day. On the other hand, perhaps I am not far removed from your sainted apostles who heard their names called?
Holy Spirit, it sounds as though you’re needing me. You have called me by name. OK then, you’d better help me with this please.
