We are being asked to say yes
I love reading about Simon Peter. He has a clumsiness about him. He’s outspoken, he’s not highly educated. And yet, he was the man Jesus called to lead his church.
How often do we resist God’s call to ministry because we feel we are not ready? Not good enough? Not qualified? Today’s Gospel reminds us that Jesus is not looking for a polished professional. He’s just asking us to say yes.
