About Today Readings

ST BERNADINE OF SIENA.

Acts 14:5-18. Psalm 113B(115):1-4, 15-16. John 14:21-26.

Not to us, O Lord, but to your name give the glory – Psalm 113B(115):1-4, 15-16.

‘The Holy Spirit will remind you of all that I have taught you.’

Next time we make the Sign of the Cross, let us take a moment to become more fully aware of God’s presence with me as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each one is creating me, drawing me to a place of wholeness, inviting me to the dance which is their home.

I am created by God, I am shown the way by Jesus, and the Holy Spirit provides a sense of adventure in my becoming. The gifts of the Holy Spirit offer creative energy for my life, inspiration for my prayer, and signs of God’s favour in my days.

I ask this question in my prayer: ‘Do I make a difference in my small world?’ Each of us can bring encouragement, life and beauty to those around us by working in concert with the Holy Spirit. Let us lean on the Holy Spirit today.
