God is stronger

Many have said the devil’s most outstanding achievement is when souls do not believe that he exists. Our modern world dismisses with psychological explanations. We are too sophisticated and technologically advanced to believe in an individual known as ‘the devil’. Yet, Pope Francis believes. He often speaks about the human battle with the devil’s temptation, encouraging the faithful to stand in God’s strength and goodness. In a 2013 General Audience, Pope Francis said, ‘We see that around us there is the presence of evil, the devil is at work. But I would like to say in a loud voice, ‘God is stronger’.
