Acts 2:14, 22-33. Keep me safe, O God; you are my hope – Psalm 15(16):1-2, 5, 7-11. Matthew 28:8-15.
God raised this man Jesus to life, and all or us are witnesses to this
I love the conviction and certainty with which both Peter and King David speak in this reading. A certainty which is refreshing. We live in times now where there seems much less conviction about Jesus. In fact, speaking about him publicly has almost become inappropriate. But Peter was there and he knew. The spirit Peter speaks about had transformed him from denier to proclaimer. Let us claim that truth this Easter. Let our hearts burn with this truth and let us grab this knowledge and live it with every breath we take. Jesus is the hope of the world and the Holy Spirit is being poured out upon us.
