About Today Readings

Galatians 1:6-12. The Lord will remember his covenant forever – Psalm 110(111):1-2, 7-10. Luke 10:25-37.

The Good News I preached is not a human message but from Jesus Christ

There is a lot of confusion in the world at present with the differing use of language. What does choice mean? Do the rights of the person mean an unborn has no rights? Our head can at times spin when we try to negotiate a path set by Christ but manipulated by people. Paul had such a straight way of talking to the Galatians who had begun to doubt his version of things. It is hard for us in the world now where the language of faith is eroded in our society and seen as foolishness, and we feel the risk of being ridiculed. When someone as inspired as Pope Francis speaks, it brings relief, because He speaks with credibility and compassion, and the truth, wrapped in love, cannot be compromised.
