Be aware of those around you
The theme that jumps out at me from today’s readings is being aware of fairness and justice. Being mindful of what we do and why we do it. There can sometimes be a tendency to do things because that is the way we have always done it or to get our weekly quota of being ‘Christlike’. But, if we do good without thinking about why, we are not treating others with dignity and respect, we are not being truly Christlike. Jesus always gave people time and his full attention. Therefore, doing the right thing by our fellow humans is important, but it is equally, if not more important to always be aware of why and how we see them.
