Embrace the support of Christ
Today’s reading is one that we know well, so let us apply the Lectio Divina approach to drawing more out of the Word. Read the text slowly and deliberately. For me the following words and phrases ‘jump out’.
‘Christ urges us on’ – powerful, enabling and encouraging. Embrace this support.
‘New creation’ – through Christ we are reborn and capable in new and profound ways. Live this way, you are renewed and this day is one of new beginnings.
‘Ambassadors for Christ’ – we are his delegates. We engage and intercede with the world with his blessing and authority. Go boldly, hold the line, teach and correct with both love and resolve.
‘We might become the righteousness of God’ – you are the goodness of God. You are powerful and capable of being truly virtuous – be that!
Respond to these thoughts or those that you have, record your revelations and then rest in this great peace.
