Let the little children come to me . . .
I am a kindergarten teacher and one of the things I love most about my job is co-learning with children. Last week, I spent 30 minutes with a group of children, watching snails climb about 50 cm up our birdbath. We watched, talked about what we were seeing and wondered at how they acted. How many adults spend that time, just watching something so slow and yet, so amazing? Today’s Gospel is a call to see the world like children. To not rush onto the next thing but to be there as snails slowly climb a birdbath.
