Ss Cornelius and Cyprian.

1 Timothy 1:15-17. Psalm 112(113):1-7. Luke 6:43-49.

Blessed be the name of the Lord for ever — Psalm 112(113):1-7.

‘Blessed be the name of the Lord for ever.’

Good people bring out the treasures of good things that are in their heart: ‘for the mouth speaks what the heart is full of’. It is only right that our words reflect what our heart sings and our heart reflects what our mind thinks.

Sometimes it is very hard to change the course of things when aspects of our life are very stressful or injustice is being felt. Try as we might, we may say things we regret or don’t mean. In these times, we pray to Jesus to help us change our ways, to say only what is good and to sing his praises. It is our words that sink into the hearts of others.
