God’s kindness and mercy
The parenting journey is one of discovery. Many people never discover how much kindness and mercy they really possess and can share with others, but parenthood certainly offers a profound opportunity to do so. Raising children pushes a person to their limits and well past what they thought were capable of. There is a Japanese proverb that says, ‘A father’s goodness is higher than the mountain, a mother’s goodness deeper than the sea’. Some people never parent at all and so must look to challenge themselves in offering kindness and mercy in other ways. Considering this, we cannot imagine the heights nor the depths of God’s kindness and mercy. God’s love is extended to billions. We are blessed to share in it.
