All the Faithful Departed
Job 19:1, 23-27 (alt). The Lord is my light and my salvation – Psalm 26(27):1, 4, 7-9, 13-14. Mark 15:33-39; 16:1-6
Unity in God’s loving influence
We gather, in our own special way.
In readings and prayers, find common ground.
Shared solace and hope in faith abounds.
Job’s steadfast trust, in trials severe,
Resonates, draws comfort near.
For in our diversity, we face trials sundry,
Yet in faith, we find strength together.
In Psalms, God’s light shines bright,
Guiding us through darkest night.
In a community diverse, with varied experiences,
We find unity in his loving influences.
In the Gospel’s story, of sacrifice and grace,
We find a transcendental significance.
For in our diverse community, we celebrate,
The victory of love, in the son’s resurrection, ascension.
On All Souls Day, in our diverse embrace,
We find solace and hope, as we seek God’s grace.
In our shared humanity, and our faith’s connection,
We find strength and unity, in our diverse reflection.
