Galatians 3:22-29. The Lord will remember his covenant for ever – Psalm 104(105):2-7. Luke 11:27-28.
All are one in Christ Jesus
This section of Paul’s enormously influential Epistle to the Galatians reiterates that anyone can be baptised as a Christian. Paul says, ‘There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus’. Paul reminded the early Christians that God is for everyone. That message stands today. When facing changing cultural norms, we must accept God loves all his people, no matter what earthly law they follow or culture to which they belong or language they speak. In Psalms, we are reminded the Covenants provide divine assurance that God will realise his purpose for creation, and especially humanity, by fully establishing his kingdom on earth. However, Luke’s Gospel says we must keep our end of the bargain by first hearing, then obeying God’s Law. We must learn to live lovingly with all God’s people.
