Acts 16:1-10. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy – Ps 99(100):1-3, 5. John 15:18-21.
God has called us to preach the Good News to the people
Just as Paul and Timothy were inspired by the Holy Spirit to preach and spread the Good News, so too are we called and inspired by the Spirit. Sometimes we may resist the calling because it does not suit us or we are afraid. But the Spirit is persistent and can reveal to us the true purpose of our calling.
Just as Paul and Timothy found resistance to their message, so too there will be some who challenge and disagree with our message, which is fundamentally a message of pure love. Paul and Timothy were simply preaching God’s love for each and every one of us.
Let us accept God’s calling as a call to love, an opportunity to live in God, with God and for God.
