Our God is a God of relationship

There is much wisdom in going out in the world ‘two by two’. We are not meant to live our faith in isolation. Our God is a God of relationship, of love. It is getting progressively harder in our society to live in community with each other. Our days are filled with long hours at work and commuting, with limited time for just being with friends and family. The number of people living by themselves is growing, and loneliness is becoming more prevalent as we live increasingly isolated lives. Yet we are designed for relationship – with God and with each other. It is in the living of our lives that others can witness the Gospel and encounter Jesus. As we go out, two by two, may we travel lightly, dependent only on God’s love and grace, ready to respond to the needs of the world around us, and able to shake off anything that doesn’t lead to love.
