Sunday 15 December 2024
3rd Sunday of Advent
Zephaniah 3:14-18. Cry out with joy and gladness: for among you is the great and Holy One of Israel – Isaiah 12:2-6. Philippians 4:4-7. Luke 3:10-18.
How does your faith bring you joy?
Today is Gaudete or Joy Sunday. Joy in our faith and joy looking forward to the birth of Christ. Advent can so often be a time when we get really busy, really stressed and often don’t stop to think about the joy in the moment. I know for myself, as a teacher, this part of December 2024 is pretty crazy and exhausting. That’s why it’s lovely to be reminded, here in the middle of Advent, that this time is about joy. How does your faith bring you joy today and how can you share that joy with others?
