Love and service
Being born blind is a sad situation, but becoming spiritually blind requires choice and is much more debilitating than any physical limitation. Today’s reading illustrates the compassion of Jesus and his keen insight about human life. We might not understand the reason for certain things, but we should not waste time on things we cannot control. We can all be healed if we seek to encounter the love of God and believe that we can give something back. Failing to embrace the world and offer love will leave you spiritually blind. Through love and service, we come to an awareness of the needs of the world and our unique gifts. Consider the reading of the day, believe that God’s works might be revealed through you and move forward with confidence.
