Jeremiah 18:1-6. Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob – Psalm 145(146):2-6. Matthew 13:47-53.
The fishermen collect the good fish and throw away those that are no use
Today’s Gospel for me is the ‘John West’ Gospel. That is, it reminds me of advertisement, ‘It’s the fish that John West rejects that make John West the best’.
How are we doing? Are we the good fish? Are we our best selves? Does what we do and say demonstrate and spread the Good News? Does what we do in our daily lives honour God? Do people see how we act and interact with others and say, ‘If this is an example of God’s people then their God surely is the Almighty’. Something to ponder as we go about our daily lives.
