My yoke is easy and my burden is light
‘God will never give you more than you can handle’, is an old saying that doesn’t always feel true, especially when pandemic and international crises collide. There are times when life will give us much more than we can handle. Sometimes, it feels like we could collapse under the stress, waiting, and grief. But Jesus has given us another way. It, at first, doesn’t seem the easy way. It actually looks hard. After some trial and error, we find there is no way lighter or easier. Jesus is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life. It is in His Way that we find an easy yoke and rest.
Lord, please let me never stray from your path. Help me follow you all the days of my life. Even when my cross becomes too heavy, may I find my strength in you.
