Rest in God’s love
To abide in Jesus is to lay down our agenda, to put the brake on busyness and to stop striving under our own steam. We are reminded that love is not a feeling but a way of being. In a world bent on worry and hurry, Jesus invites us to stay, to rest in God’s steady love. His command to ‘love one another as I have loved you’ becomes our daily practice, lived gently in our conversations, decisions and actions. Grace is a goodness that nourishes the soul; it feeds the good in us so that we can trust each other and flourish together. When we dwell in God’s love, we discover that his grace flows outwards and transforms the world.
