St Ignatius of Antioch
Ephesians 1:1-10. The Lord has made known his salvation – Psalm 97(98):1-6. Luke 11:47-54.
Each of us has been chosen by Christ
Today’s readings point to us about salvation. Each of us has been chosen by Christ and we are blessed with all the spiritual blessings. Today we remember and celebrate the anniversary of the Canonisation of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop at the Vatican in 2010. Thousands of Australians left these shores to celebrate this great occasion for the Church of Australia. We have in St Mary of the Cross a model for living a life through love. Through the life of Mary, we give praise and glory to God. A woman who walked our streets, knew our land. Someone we believe is with God. May we be able to continue to pray through her intercession for our needs.
