Give glory and eternal praise to God
Today’s readings speak very much of the hope and trust that we need to place in the hands of God when dealing with the adversities of life. Daniel faces the wrath of his king for the disobedience he displayed towards him. But despite the threat of a gruesome death, Daniel remains faithful to his God through continuous prayer and, as a result, his life is spared. Luke speaks of the power and glory that the people of God will behold with the coming of the Son of Man. Luke advises the people to raise their heads and stand during a time of redemption for all.
To enter into the redemptive hope that has been promised by God through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we journey in prayer as pilgrims, giving praise for what has been and for what is to come.
