St Thomas. Ephesians 2:19-22. Go out to all the world and tell the Good News – Ps 116(117). John 20:24-29.
We carry the Good News
The Church is God’s household, built on the foundation of the Apostles, with Christ as the cornerstone. St Thomas doubted at first, but his encounter with the risen Jesus transformed him into a bold missionary, taking the Good News to India. His journey from doubt to faith reminds us that questioning can lead to deeper belief and belief calls us to action.
As everyday Australian Catholics, we continue this mission in simple but powerful ways. We carry the Good News when we offer a listening ear, show kindness to a stranger, or stand firm in our faith amid challenges. In workplaces, schools and homes, our witness, through words and actions, builds up God’s household today.
As with Thomas, we are sent beyond our comfort zones. Whether through acts of service, sharing our faith, or simply living with integrity, we become living stones in the Church, bringing Christ to the world.
