About Today Readings

1 Peter 2:2-5, 9-12. Come with joy into the presence of the Lord – Psalm 99(100):1-5. Mark 10:46-52.

Our faith heals us

Jesus told him, ‘Go your way; your faith has saved you.’ Immediately, he received his sight and followed him on the way. (Mark 10:52)

Today’s Gospel reading reminds us that our faith heals us. Whether it be physical or spiritual healing, it is our faith that heals us. But, we cannot give up hope. As the blind man calling to our Lord asking for him to have pity on him, we must remain persistent. The blind man’s persistence evokes Jesus’ attention, and through the man’s faith, Jesus has pity on him.

Lord Jesus, teach us to have faith that saves. May we keep your Word close to our hearts so we may learn to love you. Let us learn that through persistent prayer we will find healing. The healing you will for us.
