Anyone who loves God must love his brother

Have you ever been aware of an interaction with someone that was influenced by fear or competitiveness or a need to control? We can only become free of such (hidden) motivations when we are entirely at peace with who we are and what our purpose is. Jesus related to everyone from such a place of security and peace. Jesus felt the Father’s love for him all the time. He did not feel any anxiety to perform for God. Being in love with his Father he only wanted to do what pleased God. ‘My burden is easy and my yoke is light’. The more we can welcome the spirit of Jesus into us, the easier it gets to love our neighbour, to obey God’s commands, because it is the love of God that removes all our anxieties.
