About Today Readings

Romans 14:7-12. I believe that I shall see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living – Ps 26(27):1-4, 13-14. Luke 15:1-10.

Would you not go after the lost sheep?

Lord, how can I imagine you?
A shepherd with a million sheep,
a woman with a stash of cash,
both laid back about their wealth?

But who would dare imagine you
a shepherd so entranced by each
small lamb that, when one is lost,
he hunts for days to bring her back.

Or as a widow, grieving for
a lost small coin, who tears apart
her house, and when she finds it
shouts the town to celebrate?
Is that the God to whom you pray?
