‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’

As children, we are told that with age comes wisdom. Yet in today’s Gospel Jesus is saying the opposite. This is because children are curious beings, always searching for the truth. They can find wonder and joy in the world around them.

We may have lost our sense of wonder. We possess so many things and yet we are not happy. We are bored, and from boredom, we sin.

The challenge then is to recapture our sense of wonder so that we might praise God in all places, times and things.
