Acts 20:17-27. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth – Ps 67(68):10-11, 20-21. John 17:1-11.
We do not walk alone
Today, we are invited into the heart of Jesus as he lifts his eyes to the Father. We hear the deep desire of Jesus that the Father may be glorified. Jesus prays not just for himself but for us too, as his disciples. We see and hear a profound tenderness. The prayer in the Gospel today is a reminder that we do not walk alone. The mission of Jesus was to reflect God’s love to the world, and we carry that out. As disciples today, we are invited into this prayer, trusting that Jesus continues to intercede for us, guiding us to live with courage, compassion and unity.
How will I allow Jesus to guide, shape and direct my life? What helps me to grow in deeper relationship with God? How am I being called to foster unity – in my family, workplace, parish or community?
