St Padre Pio of Pietrelcina
Ezra 6:7-8, 12, 14-20. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord – Ps 121(122):1-5. Luke 8:19-21.
We belong to a broader community
‘He said what?!’, is my imagined response, Lord, of your mother and brothers to your reply to their request to see you. This story reminds me that you had a real human context and a real family. But you were teaching about a broader family that you could see and were calling us into.
Holy Spirit, help us to see ourselves as part of this broader but real community. You want us to see it and belong to it, don’t you?
