The freedom of trust

One of my greatest fears is that of being swamped by huge waves, unprotected in a boat. I know I would have been the first to wake Our Lord. I wake him all the time.

Each wave of fear that is surging towards me, causes me to cry ‘Lord save me! I am perishing!’ When will I learn? With Jesus in my boat I will never perish. Never.

Believing that and trusting in the reality of Jesus’ strong and protective presence in my life is very freeing. Thank you for your patience, my Lord.

For calming the wind and waves in my life, and calming me.
