Practising humility fosters inner growth
God calls us to be a light to others, even when we face betrayal, disappointment or personal failure. Humility in daily life means acknowledging our limitations while striving to act with integrity. Adults often struggle with the desire to be ‘right’ or seen as competent, but humility invites us to admit mistakes and learn from them. This might look like apologising sincerely to a colleague or family member, accepting feedback without defensiveness, or quietly supporting someone we disagree with. Even when efforts go unnoticed, practising humility fosters inner growth, compassion, and a stronger connection with God. Recognising our dependence on God rather than seeking external validation is a practical way to live humility in everyday life. We pray: God of mercy, help me embrace my limitations with honesty and grace, so I may walk more gently with others.
