Tuesday in Holy Week
Isaiah 49:1-6. I will sing of your salvation – Psalm 70(71):1-6, 15, 17. John 13:21-33, 36-38.
Judas went out and it was night
Lord when you gathered with your friends
to celebrate God’s faithfulness
then Peter boasted, Judas left,
and suddenly the light went out.
Jesus, as you walk alone,
sold out by your chosen friends,
may I stay with you in your grief,
though I too have betrayed and left you.
My Lord, I thank you for this meal
in which we sinners take our seats,
and know that you remain with us
as our dear friend and Saviour
