Anyone who welcomes a little child in my name welcomes me

In the area of my work, the phrase ‘the child is at the centre of all we do’ is one of our core values. Jesus takes this a step further. Not only should we protect our children, we should become like them. Curious, vulnerable, innocent, unquestioning love and trust, and simplicity in how we approach the world. This is not the case for so many little ones, and it is not just neglect or abuse, it is our business with the demands of the world that makes our children’s lives a little poorer. Bless our children Lord, and help all parents to retain the joy of being present to their little ones, when the pressure of time overshadows them.
