If your brother listens to you, you have won back your brother
A healthy Christian community requires willingness to both accept fault and call it out at every level.
A community is made up of individual wills, but these wills are unified towards a common purpose; God has made it impossible for us to journey towards him without each other.
Therefore, can we possibly remain indifferent or silent when we become aware of sins in the Church, when members of our own community go astray?
The Gospel shows us that our initial response should not be to shun those who do not agree with us, but to try to reconcile them to the community. It becomes then, our common responsibility to keep our community whole. We are assured of the presence of Jesus when we remain together.Email this Print This Page
