Keep me safe, O God; you are my hope—Psalm 15(16):1-2, 4-5, 8, 11.
‘If the Lord is God, follow him.’
Jesus came to fulfil the law, to show us it was possible to live within a tradition, and to go beyond it and to deepen its significance by creating new attitudes towards ourselves and towards the law.
The invitation is to keep always before our eyes the kingdom of heaven. As we walk towards this new horizon, all things are possible. We become capable of great generosity of spirit, with hearts burning for the renewal of the world.
This energy will keep us going through the ups and downs of the pilgrimage which lies before us, a pilgrimage into the very heart of God.
