Be grateful and give thanks
The reading today reminds us that God is generous and merciful. Contemplate all the gifts you have received over the last week. Friendship, an encounter, a good meal, an enjoyable conversation, maybe even a good outcome in the workplace. How did you offer thanks to God? Did you enjoy or celebrate the gift and neglect the gift giver? Surely there are many gifts that go unnoticed in our busy lives. Be observant today, enjoy the gifts and remember to offer thanks. Sometimes we are ‘asleep’ or so happy that we received that we forget to offer gratitude as we should. Enjoy the gift of today and all that it is yet to reveal, and give thanks.
