The earth is full of soul

Do we treat the ground we walk upon as Holy Ground? Do we spend the time to look at the wonder of our world? I know, for me, there are times when I am very aware of the beauty and wonder of creation and times when I am too busy getting to where I’m going, worrying about something or just feeling tired after work.

If we do as Moses did and take off our shoes to feel that Holy Ground beneath our feet, then it is a special experience, we become more grounded, more in touch with where we come from. John O’Donohue writes, ‘Place is not simply location . . . The shape of a landscape is an ancient and silent form of consciousness . . . The earth is full of soul.’

Let us look at our world today as a place ‘full of soul’.
