Song of Songs 2:8-14 / Zephaniah 3:14-18. Cry out with joy in the Lord, you holy ones; sing a new song to him – Psalm 32(33):2-3, 11-12, 20-21. Luke 1:39-45.

Sometimes, when we consider it, we can be amazed that God loves us human beings. There are so many reasons for God not to love us. But through the millennia Scripture records God’s persistent desire to be the bridegroom of humanity. The Song of Songs is a remarkable expression of the sexual love between man and woman, and of the persistent love God has for us, men and women. God is wooing us. God is wooing you. ‘Your voice is sweet and your face is beautiful!’ Can you imagine God saying that to you? Notice your response. Ask God to help you believe this amazing truth more and more.
