Deuteronomy 4:1, 5-9. Praise the Lord, Jerusalem – Ps 147:12-13, 15-16, 19-20. Matthew 5:17-19.
Whoever obeys the Law and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven
No matter how small our good deeds, how short our prayers and meditations, whenever we put ourselves last for the service of others, when we are a giver of a smile, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a loving heart and arm to reach out to another, it is all good in the eyes of Jesus.
Any time is a good time, in Jesus’ eyes, to give whatever we can in the service of others. While our charitable acts assist people on earth, we can be reassured there will be a place for us in heaven.
